Marine conservation biologists work for marine research institutes, environmental consultancies, government marine agencies, conservation NGOs (such as Oceana, Seas At Risk, and WWF), and universities. The role combines fieldwork (often involving diving and boat-based surveys) with laboratory analysis, data modelling, and policy engagement.
