What Does a Solar Engineer Do?

Solar engineers design, install and maintain photovoltaic and solar thermal systems. They work in the field and in the office, combining engineering knowledge with knowledge of renewable energy.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, energy or related field
