Environmental Education Coordinator
About the Position
Greenpeace is a global campaigning network that acts to change attitudes and behavior, protect the environment, and promote peace. The International office in Amsterdam coordinates education and awareness campaigns that reach millions of people worldwide.
As Environmental Education Coordinator, you will develop and manage educational programs and materials that empower young people and communities to take action on climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. You will work across Greenpeace offices to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce educational materials on climate, oceans, and forests for diverse audiences
- Coordinate cross-office education campaigns and track their impact
- Train and support Greenpeace educators and volunteers across national offices
- Build partnerships with schools, universities, and youth organizations
- Evaluate program effectiveness and report on learning outcomes
What Youβll Work On
- Launching a multilingual climate literacy toolkit for European schools
- Developing interactive digital learning experiences on marine conservation
- Coordinating Greenpeaceβs participation in international education conferences
- Creating a volunteer educator certification program
Requirements
- Degree in Education, Environmental Studies, or Communications
- 3+ years of experience in environmental education or public engagement
- Experience designing curriculum or educational materials
- Strong project management and facilitation skills
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
