Junior Sustainability Data Analyst
About the Position
Persefoni is the leading Climate Management & Accounting Platform (CMAP), enabling enterprises and financial institutions to measure, manage, and report their carbon emissions with the same rigor as financial accounting. Our AI-enhanced platform supports Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions tracking, decarbonization planning, and regulatory disclosure. Join our team as a Junior Sustainability Data Analyst to help clients build investor-grade carbon inventories.
Responsibilities
- Support clients in onboarding their financial, procurement, and activity data into the Persefoni platform
- Validate emissions calculations against GHG Protocol standards and identify data quality issues
- Help configure emission factor mappings for diverse industries (manufacturing, finance, technology)
- Create data visualizations and carbon performance dashboards for client reporting
What You’ll Work On
- Helping Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions meet SEC, CSRD, and ISSB climate disclosure requirements
- Building and refining carbon accounting workflows for enterprise clients
- Testing and improving Persefoni’s AI-powered Copilot and Anomaly Detection features
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, data science, sustainability, or related field - 0-2 years of experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, or data analysis (internships count) - Basic proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or Python) - Familiarity with GHG Protocol, CSRD, or TCFD frameworks (coursework or self-study counts) - Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
