About the Position
Ecosia is the search engine that plants trees. With over 200 million trees planted and 20 million monthly active users, we use 100% of our profits for the planet and produce enough renewable energy to power all searches twice over. We operate on a 4-day work week. Join our product engineering team to build a credible, privacy-first alternative to Big Tech search.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack features for Ecosia’s search experience and browser products
- Improve search relevance, speed, and user engagement across web and mobile
- Develop impact measurement tools that show users their environmental contribution
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers

Requirements
- 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience (React, TypeScript, Node.js) - Experience building consumer-facing web or mobile products at scale - Understanding of web performance optimization and SEO fundamentals - Passion for privacy, sustainability, and building technology for good - Experience with A/B testing and data-informed product development
