Sustainable Supply Chain Manager
About the Position

The company is transforming its supply chain to use only renewable and recycled materials.
As Sustainable Supply Chain Manager, you will lead initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of IKEA’s supply chain, focusing on decarbonization, sustainable materials sourcing, and circular supply chain models. You will work from IKEA’s headquarters in Almhult, collaborating with purchasing, logistics, and sustainability teams globally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier decarbonization programs aligned with science-based targets
- Manage sustainable materials sourcing strategies for key product categories
- Conduct supply chain life cycle assessments and identify hotspots for improvement
- Establish supplier sustainability performance metrics and monitoring systems
- Lead cross-functional projects to integrate circular economy principles into supply chain design
What You’ll Work On
- Scaling renewable energy adoption across IKEA’s tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers
- Developing traceability systems for sustainably sourced wood, cotton, and other materials
- Creating circular supply chain pilot programs for product take-back and refurbishment
- Contributing to IKEA’s annual sustainability report and climate action plan
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, or Business Administration
- 6+ years of experience in supply chain sustainability or responsible sourcing
- Deep knowledge of life cycle assessment and Scope 3 emissions accounting
- Experience managing supplier sustainability programs at scale
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
