Science-Based Targets (SBTi)

Science-based targets are greenhouse gas emission reduction targets adopted by companies that are consistent with the level of decarbonisation required to keep global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validates corporate targets against climate science, providing a framework that covers Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Over 7,000 companies worldwide have committed to or set science-based targets.
