Arcadis is a leading global design and consultancy organization with over 36,000 employees. Their growing Industrial Decarbonization practice helps manufacturing and heavy industry clients develop and implement strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from their operations and value chains.

As a Senior Industrial Decarbonization Consultant, you will lead engagements helping industrial clients develop and execute their net zero transition plans. You will combine deep technical knowledge of industrial processes with expertise in emissions reduction strategies to deliver practical and cost-effective decarbonization roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Lead decarbonization assessments for industrial clients across sectors including chemicals, metals, food and beverage, and manufacturing
  • Develop Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction roadmaps including electrification, fuel switching, and process optimization
  • Conduct energy audits and identify opportunities for heat recovery, waste reduction, and efficiency improvement
  • Support clients in setting and validating science-based targets
  • Prepare technical reports, business cases, and project proposals

What You’ll Work On

  • Helping industrial clients in the Southeast US navigate the energy transition
  • Evaluating emerging decarbonization technologies including green hydrogen, carbon capture, and industrial heat pumps
  • Developing marginal abatement cost curves for complex industrial operations
  • Supporting the growth of Arcadis’s industrial decarbonization practice across the Americas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in industrial energy systems, process optimization, or decarbonization
  • Experience with energy audits, heat recovery, electrification, and fuel switching
  • Knowledge of GHG accounting protocols and science-based target methodologies
  • Experience with process simulation tools and energy modeling software
