About the Position
Enel Green Power is a global leader in renewable energy generation, operating across 21 countries with a managed capacity of over 60 GW. In Spain, the company is rapidly expanding its solar portfolio to support the country’s ambitious decarbonization targets.
You will lead the development of utility-scale solar PV projects from site identification through to construction-ready status. This senior role requires deep expertise in land acquisition, environmental permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder management within the Spanish market.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure land rights for new solar PV projects
- Manage the full permitting lifecycle including environmental impact assessments
- Negotiate grid connection agreements with transmission system operators
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams on preliminary plant design
- Build and maintain relationships with local communities and authorities
What You’ll Work On
- Developing a pipeline of 500+ MW of solar PV projects in southern Spain
- Structuring co-development partnerships with local developers
- Evaluating hybrid solar-plus-storage project configurations
- Contributing to investment committee presentations and project approvals
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in solar PV project development
- Strong knowledge of Spanish permitting and grid connection processes
- Experience with financial modeling for renewable energy projects
- Fluent in Spanish and English
