Wind Farm Operations Engineer
About the Position
Vattenfall is one of Europeβs largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat, with a vision to become fossil-free within one generation. The company operates wind farms across Northern Europe with a combined capacity exceeding 4 GW.
As a Wind Farm Operations Engineer, you will ensure the reliable and efficient performance of onshore and offshore wind assets in Germany. You will be part of a team responsible for maximizing energy production while minimizing downtime and operational costs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor wind farm performance using SCADA and advanced analytics platforms
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities with service providers
- Analyze turbine performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Manage spare parts inventory and logistics for operational sites
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
What Youβll Work On
- Implementing predictive maintenance strategies using machine learning models
- Optimizing energy yield through turbine configuration adjustments
- Supporting the commissioning of new wind farm projects
- Developing standard operating procedures for asset management
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in wind farm operations or maintenance
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and turbine control software
- Willingness to travel to onshore and offshore sites
- Valid driving license
