Direct Air Capture

Direct air capture (DAC) is a technology that chemically extracts carbon dioxide directly from the ambient atmosphere. The captured CO2 can be permanently stored underground or used in industrial processes such as synthetic fuel production. DAC is considered a key tool for achieving net-negative emissions.
