About the Position
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is the worldโs leading circular economy organization, working with businesses, governments, and academia to accelerate the transition from a linear to a circular economy. The Foundationโs research and insights shape policy and corporate strategy worldwide.
As a Circular Economy Analyst, you will support research and analysis projects that quantify the environmental and economic benefits of circular economy strategies. This entry-level role offers exposure to cutting-edge sustainability thinking and collaboration with global partners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and data analysis on material flows, waste streams, and circularity metrics
- Support the development of case studies and publications on circular economy best practices
- Analyze corporate circular economy commitments and track progress
- Contribute to policy recommendations and briefing papers
- Support the organization of workshops, webinars, and stakeholder engagement events
What Youโll Work On
- Contributing to the Foundationโs annual Circularity Gap Report
- Analyzing the circular economy potential of key sectors (plastics, textiles, electronics)
- Developing metrics and indicators for measuring corporate circularity performance
- Supporting engagement with EU policymakers on circular economy legislation
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- Understanding of circular economy principles and frameworks
- Strong quantitative and research skills
- Excellent written communication in English
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, or Tableau)
