Green Hydrogen Business Development Manager
About the Position
Iberdrola is a global energy leader and one of the world’s largest producers of wind energy. We are at the forefront of the green hydrogen revolution, with major projects in Spain, the UK, and Brazil. Join our Green Hydrogen division to develop and commercialize large-scale green hydrogen projects that will decarbonize heavy industry and transport.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop green hydrogen business opportunities with industrial off-takers (steel, chemicals, refining, heavy transport)
- Structure commercial agreements including hydrogen purchase agreements (HPAs) and tolling contracts
- Conduct techno-economic feasibility studies for electrolyzer projects (50-500 MW)
- Build partnerships with technology providers, government agencies, and EU funding bodies
What You’ll Work On
- Scaling green hydrogen from pilot projects to GW-scale production facilities
- Securing IPCEI and EU Innovation Fund financing for green hydrogen projects
- Developing hydrogen infrastructure corridors connecting Spain with Northern Europe
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in business development, energy, or infrastructure project development - Understanding of hydrogen production technologies (PEM, alkaline, SOEC electrolysis) - Experience with project finance, commercial structuring, and off-take agreements - Knowledge of EU hydrogen strategy, REPowerEU, and national hydrogen roadmaps - Fluent English and Spanish; additional European languages are a plus
