Water Resources Engineer
About the Position

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will support the design and optimization of water distribution and treatment systems for municipal clients across the Netherlands and Northern Europe. You will combine hydraulic modeling expertise with field knowledge to deliver resilient water infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop hydraulic models for water distribution networks and wastewater systems
- Design water treatment process upgrades and optimization strategies
- Conduct water loss audits and develop leakage reduction programs
- Support clients with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with sales teams on technical proposals and solution design
What Youβll Work On
- Modeling the impact of climate change on Dutch water infrastructure
- Designing smart water network monitoring systems using IoT sensors
- Developing decision-support tools for asset management prioritization
- Supporting pilot projects for advanced water reuse technologies
Requirements
- MSc in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Hydrology
- 3-5 years of experience in water infrastructure or utility engineering
- Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software (EPANET, MIKE, InfoWorks)
- Knowledge of EU Water Framework Directive requirements
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
