Energy Policy Analyst
About the Position
Gridworks is a nonprofit organization that supports the development of a clean, affordable, and reliable electricity system across the Interior West. As an Energy Policy Analyst, you will support a portfolio of energy projects spanning integrated resource planning, transmission development, and clean energy deployment.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects and provide technical research on energy policy issues across the Interior West
- Maintain project participant lists and coordinate meeting preparation
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including utilities, regulators, and community groups
- Develop deep expertise in integrated resource planning and transmission development
- Produce written analyses, policy memos, and stakeholder-ready materials
What You’ll Work On
You will work on substantive energy policy challenges - analyzing how utilities plan for the energy transition, how transmission infrastructure enables renewable deployment, and how diverse stakeholders can collaborate toward a cleaner grid. This is a remote role requiring availability in the Mountain Time Zone.

Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in energy policy, regulatory affairs, or related field - Minimum 2 years of direct experience in the energy industry - Strong analytical and written communication skills - Familiarity with utility integrated resource planning or transmission planning - Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously
