About the Position

Micron Technology is one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers, investing $100 billion to build a new megafab facility in Clay, New York. This historic investment represents the largest private investment in New York State history and will create thousands of jobs while establishing a cutting-edge chip manufacturing hub.

As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you will ensure that Micron’s New York project meets the highest environmental standards. You will oversee all aspects of environmental compliance for the construction and operation of the new facility, working with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the site’s environmental management system and compliance programs
  • Oversee environmental permitting including air quality, water discharge, and waste management permits
  • Manage relationships with EPA, NYSDEC, and local environmental agencies
  • Lead environmental audits and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are completed
  • Provide environmental compliance guidance to construction and operations teams

  • Building an environmental compliance program from the ground up for a new semiconductor megafab
  • Ensuring compliance with stringent air quality and water discharge requirements
  • Managing the environmental aspects of one of the largest construction projects in the United States
  • Developing training programs for environmental awareness and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in environmental compliance management
  • Experience building and sustaining environmental management systems (ISO 14001)
  • Experience supporting large-scale construction projects including permitting and agency coordination
  • Knowledge of EPA, NYSDEC, and local environmental regulations
