Onshore Permitting Manager

As an Onshore Permitting Manager, you will lead environmental and permitting efforts to support the development of onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects across multiple US jurisdictions. You will serve as the subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead all environmental permitting activities for onshore renewable energy projects from early development through construction
- Manage relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
- Oversee environmental surveys, impact assessments, and mitigation planning
- Coordinate with land, engineering, and legal teams to integrate permitting requirements into project schedules
- Manage external environmental consultants and review deliverables

- Securing permits for Orstedβs growing portfolio of onshore wind and solar projects in the US
- Developing permitting strategies that minimize project risk and schedule delays
- Navigating evolving federal and state renewable energy policies
- Building a best-in-class environmental compliance program for onshore operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in environmental permitting for energy or infrastructure projects
- Deep knowledge of NEPA, ESA, Clean Water Act, and state-level environmental regulations
- Experience managing permitting for wind, solar, or battery storage projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
