About the Position
Vestas is recruiting a Wind Farm Site Manager to oversee service operations across multiple onshore wind farms in central Scotland. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing a team of 12-15 service technicians and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and turbine availability.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily service operations across 3-5 wind farm sites in Scotland
- Lead and develop a team of wind turbine service technicians
- Plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance campaigns and major component exchanges
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Vestas safety standards
- Manage site budgets, spare parts inventory, and subcontractor relationships
- Report on turbine availability, KPIs, and operational performance to regional management
What You’ll Work On
You will be based in Glasgow with regular travel to wind farm sites across central and southern Scotland. The role offers a unique opportunity to lead Vestas’s service operations in one of the UK’s most active wind energy regions, managing a portfolio of over 100 turbines across multiple sites.
Requirements
- HND/degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience - 5+ years in wind turbine service or renewable energy operations - Proven team leadership and project management experience - IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification - Full UK driving license
